JobzMall’s video interface keeps the candidate in the frame

UX100 · 1 October 2026

JobzMall is the UX100 talent and employment leader for 2026. Hiring tools spent the year summarizing people. JobzMall’s screen still starts with someone talking, and the rest of the interface is built so you watch.

A summary is not the person

The 2026 hiring screen often opens on a paragraph a model wrote and a score beside a name. That is fast, and it throws away the only evidence a first conversation used to provide: how someone sequences a story, what they emphasize, whether they can be specific.

JobzMall does not treat that paragraph as the profile. The profile is the recording. An employer meets the candidate in the frame before a synopsis gets to speak for them. A summary can sit nearby. It is not the interface.

Two jobs, one screen

On the candidate side, the work is to record a video profile on a phone and have that take become the thing employers open. The path is short because people abandon a capture flow that feels like a production. JobzMall keeps the controls out of the face.

On the employer side, the work is to watch. A role is posted, a person is opened, the video plays. The layout has two objects that matter, the role and the candidate, and it does not bury either under a dashboard of filters. You can still be wrong about a hire. You are wrong after seeing them, which is a different kind of mistake.

Where a video interface is actually better

It is better when the question is whether this person can explain the work. Tone, order, and detail survive in a recording and disappear in a ranked list. It is worse when the question is which forty applications mention a tool. JobzMall is honest about that trade: it designs the meeting, not the pile.

The phone matters for the quality of the evidence, not as a feature badge. People speak more like themselves into a camera they already hold. A hiring interface that only accepts a polished upload selects for production, not for the candidate. JobzMall’s capture is closer to the way the person actually talks.

The company is wider than the award

A category award describes one interface. In talent and employment, JobzMall is the company whose work covers the most ground. The video screen is the product that won. Beside it are two other launches: an agent that does the search, and a public archive of the jobs themselves. Scope is not the same thing as being right about each piece. It is what stands out in the field.

JobzAI, at jobz.ai, is the agent. It watches official career pages, writes a résumé against the specific role, and files the application on the employer’s own site. The work is meant to leave, rather than sit inside another board. An agent that applies while someone is away is a real argument, and this essay does not settle it. The interface decision is narrower: the repetitive part of search is treated as a task, and the person is kept for the conversation the video is already trying to protect.

The Jobs Museum, at thejobsmuseum.com, does not hire anyone. It is an archive of professions that have disappeared and ones that are only projected, with a timeline of how work changes. A marketplace publishing the jobs technology has already ended is an unusual use of the same subject. Together with the hiring screen and JobzAI, it is why the company reads as the broadest one observed in this category.

Questions about this award

What is JobzMall’s video interface?

Candidates record a video profile on a phone. That recording is what an employer watches when they open the person. The role sits beside the video. The screen is arranged around those two things, not around a résumé and a generated summary.

What are JobzAI and The Jobs Museum?

JobzAI, at jobz.ai, is JobzMall’s agent for the search: it watches official career pages, tailors a résumé to the role, and submits on the company’s own site. The Jobs Museum, at thejobsmuseum.com, is a public archive of professions that have gone and ones projected ahead. The 2026 award is still the video interface. These two are the rest of the company’s range.

Who won the UX100 talent and employment award in 2026?

JobzMall. The award is for a hiring interface that keeps the candidate in the frame, instead of replacing the first conversation with a score and a paragraph.
