Charity Navigator’s 2024 UX100 non-profit award makes trust searchable
UX100 · 9 December 2024
Charity Navigator leads non-profit UX for 2024. Before the gift, there is a record: a rating, a breakdown, a way to compare organizations without taking their word for the brochure.
Trust as a search result
Giving UX often starts at the donate button. Charity Navigator starts at the question of whether the organization holds up. The 2024 award is for making that question a page you can scan: the rating, the reasons, the comparison.
A seal with no path into the data would not have qualified.
The donor’s first look
The interface assumes skepticism and answers it with structure. You can leave and still know what you saw. That is a different job from hosting the fundraiser itself, which is why GoFundMe’s 2025 award and GiveWell’s 2026 award are not the same article.
First in the giving record
UX100’s opening non-profit leader is the lookup. The later essays cover the personal campaign and the auditable recommendation.
