Duolingo is the education leader for 2025. Practice is a path you can see. The interface’s job is the next session, not a course catalog you mean to start.
A lesson is a return visit
Education products are judged on completion and then abandoned. Duolingo designs the day after. The streak is not a gimmick layered on a textbook. It is the shape of the home screen: you can see where you are and what a few minutes will do.
The 2025 award is for that loop. A mistake stays inside the path instead of becoming a score you hide from.
Small on purpose
The lesson is short enough to finish in a pocket of time, and the interface does not apologize for that. Depth is the accumulation of returns. UX100’s education category in 2025 published the habit, which is a harder interface than a beautiful lecture.
